Why'd you steal our garbage?! takes Finn and Jake on a journey to take down the Ice King, who has, apparently, stolen their garbage. It's a flawed journey, mostly due to the hard-to-use inventory system, but it's definitely an adventure worth taking for anyone interested in an absolutely math journey through Ooo. Children will likely love the fairly easy gameplay and the hilarious story, and adults will appreciate both the witty dialogue and throwbacks to retro gaming. WayForward has crafted an Adventure Time game that should be able to please both young and old fans of the show. It’s a bit on the short end, and you’ll be watching the credits in around four or five hours (before unlocking a New Game +), but it’s entertaining throughout. The visuals are wonderful, matching the show’s characters well while still feeling like a video game, and the music is absolutely brilliant. From the entertaining, top-down overworld to the constant interactions with the show’s signature characters, the game was obviously made with a love for the license. Fans of Adventure Time, will likely be able to overlook these faults and embrace the many things that make Hey Ice King, Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! fun.
